The story of Panama Trails actually begins in Costa Rica, 30 years earlier.
That’s when Wilhelm von Breymann and Mauricio Alfaro founded its sister company, Costa Rican Trails, in 1989. They started from scratch in a small office in San Jose, but were always clear of their vision:
To be leaders in the travel industry through innovation and excellence.
As pioneers in the industry, they built their reputation for impeccable service in Costa Rica.
15 years later, Wilhelm and Mauricio visited Panama, and they fell in love with the country and its culture.
They felt that Panama was a completely different experience — and it perfectly complemented their offerings in Costa Rica.
That’s when the idea for Panama Trails was born:
To open a sister company in Panama that would bring the same level of impeccable travel services that their partners have grown to expect and trust.
Today, Panama Trails is a team of 16 Travel Experts, Specialist Guides, Conservationists, Storytellers, and Hosts dedicated to supporting luxury Travel Advisors every step of the way.
